Gris has been reading Nothing to Envy, Real Lives in North Korea by Barbara Demick. The book won the Samuel Johnson Prize and is based on oral history from defectors. Gris says she doesn't think she would thrive in North Korea because it's 'brutal' She also recommends Friend of My Youth by Amit Choudhury for her book club.
