The Downstream Effects of Parkinson's Disease on Blood Pressure
The diagnosis of Parkinson's is also now being coupled with alpha sin nucleon accumulation. And that is a key factor for things like Lewy body dementia. What we are seeing is that almost universally in everybody with Parkinson's, we're going to see some cardiac dysautonomia. Because of those loss of dopaminergic neurons, we are seeing a loss in the connection to the neuroadronergic neurons in our sympathetic nervous system and blood pressure regulation.
