My PhD was about sleep research. I worked on human sleep and circadian rhythms those 24 hour rhythms that we have in hormone fluctuations, body temperature and lots of other internal rhythms. So you know but nobody has ever really believed it or not figured out why we need to sleep. For instance there's a classic experiment from a long long time ago maybe about on the order of 100 years ago where researchers kept sleep. The animal, the farmyard animal. You keep a sheep awake. How would you do that? I mean you could probably keep bothering it and disturbing it and poking it. But let it read Twitter that'll be enough.
