Kant's Synthetic a Priori
Hegel's idea of the synthetic a priori is crucial for Kant. He says that there is no predicate for being, so you wouldn't have to say like "I drive a beat up black Volkswagen" This allows him to be sure of his knowledge about things as they appear.
