Lysander and the Athenians
Lysander was born into one of the respect able families at sparta. But when he was growing up, maybe his family had fallen on hard times. They couldn't afford to put him through the spartan state military education system. And so they found a patron who saw potential in young lysander. He stands before the 16 year old prince and makes his case. Lysander accused tisiphernes, who seemed to be remiss in his duty. Cyrus clearly wanted to be friends with the spartans. Lysander could sense the young man's ambition. Perhaps he sensed even then that this kid had something he needed.
