Is Apple Planning to Make a Profit on the AirPods?
Apple is not planning to make a profit on the initial version, even at the high price. This indicates that the company is taking a long term view on the platform. Apple has not spent all this money on selling a million of a headset, right? And so this seems to me to be an admission, at least in part, even if they don't market it this way.
