The Redeeming Characteristic of Stafford Beer
Stafford beer has a very different view of cybernetics than the traditional socialist technocracy. He believes that if you allow for too much complexity it's producing all sorts of systems threatening effects. Hayek tells you well the only way to have this to have complexity while reducing it and make sure it doesn't overflow the system is to delegate everything to the price system, he says. But Stafford beer basically says well maybe but why do we have to rely on the price system only I'm kind of putting worth in his mouse.
