I think that we have a victim who was failed many, many times by the state and by our system before he ever stepped foot on that subway car. And then you ask yourself about the impulse to act in a world where so many of us have walked down the street, passed homeless people, wondering whether that person is just sleeping or dead. At what point does it become unreasonable? Yeah, I know I watched what happened with Tamir Eliza Rice that seemed on its face unreasonable. In this case, I think we just need more information,. But I do think that that notwithstanding, it is reasonable to have a conversation about was the use of force at that particular point in time justified.
