Twitter's deputy general counsel James Baker was tasked with coordinating with the government on censorship issues while working for Twitter. He was fired by Elon Musk when Musk took over the company because of Baker's role in pushing for the censorship of Hunter Biden's laptop story. After he got fired, Baker told this to Congress: The law permits the government to have complex, multifaceted and long-term relationships with the private sector.
