The Voice of Peter in the New Testament

Peter was remembered as a key theological figure in the early second century. We've lost all sense of that, but we can still hear him through his letters and writings. He's not identical to any other person; it's because they were unique and overlapping enough. So I wonder if it's this varied voices or varied depictions of Peter that actually strengthened the case for the voice of Peter in the New Testament.
