The Origins of Jesus' Parentage in Luke
Most modern Christian denominations teach that Jesus was the literal son of God, born of a virgin. The earliest few appears to be that he was a mortal man who was adopted by God at some point later in his life. In Luke chapter 2 verse 33, this is the incident where after Jesus is born, he's taken to the temple by his parents. And you get a similar thing later when Jesus is a 12-year-old in the temple.
