Is CTA's a Better Asset Class Than Gold?
Dale: I had this epiphany the other day that haven't fully thought through, so work with me on this. It's like, you know, when we talk about Harry Brown's permanent portfolio, I always thought CTA's were a better coverage for inflation than gold. And not only would you do well in a deflation and just inflationary environment because your cap rates would explode, at least on the value side. But on the inflationary side, you'd also still have some protection because you can try to at least keep up with a lag to inflationary pressures depending on what asset classes on the real estate side you're into.
