The best writing tip i was ever given at university, and i've an english degree, that's my academic background, is write the synopsis. So the 200 word synopsis of your essay or whatever tht works really well for brief writing and big presentation writing as well. Once i've done that, it flows quite naturally. Because you know roughly what you want to say. You might not have the proposition in your head. I need to sit down, write, read it aloud and see whether it makes sense.
