"It wasn't my family's world. And i had a nice grandmother who lived in lackpart too, i think," he says. "And then when i went to a real school, i just flourished... It was sort of like a plant that started over here with a lot of thistles, and then somebody pu put it in really good soil, and suddenly the plant just starts blossoming."
