The Mysterium Tremendum of Religion
Religion can be defined a hundred different ways and oftentimes 80% of those definitions are terrible. Most religious studies scholars today are influenced by Emile Durkheim, who's a late 19th century, early 20th century sociologistwho really focused on communal aspects. So I'm myself very much influenced by that idea because I see society just through and through of every religion out there.
