The Purpose of a Personal Brand

The purpose of a personal brand is to open doors when you want them opened. But in an ideal world, you would not earn money on your personal brand. You would earn money on products or brands that can scale beyond you and be acquired by other people. And so I think there is an ebb and flow to personal brand building where you're more in build mode than publish mode. That's the high level concept that this conversation helped me unlock or unlocked for myself.
