Medicaid, the government health insurance program for low income Americans is paying hundreds of billions of dollars a year to private insurers. From 1988 to 93, Tennessee's Medicaid enrollment nearly doubled and spending nearly tripled. The bold new program that I think deserves our vote today would essentially will privatize this, throw it in the private sector.
