What Does That Have to Do With Freedom?
In a democracy, your freedom comes from the fact that the government is legally constrained from imposing arbitrary our rules. And if they try to, they can be taken to court. If you don't like the country, you can vote in a new government and or or take the government to court. The first order of business in any human society is to be able to defend yourself. In chimpanzee society, there are still troops of male groups of chippanzees that will go into the territory of a rival chippanzee troop and kill all the males one by one and take over the ry and the females.
