I don't believe Man's United bought a footballer because the FPL community thought it was a scoon. There would have been so much conversation about Aaron Wambesaka that there wouldn't have been if there wasn't a few. It definitely happens for people who are primarily engaged in football because of FPL, that they think certain players are better than they really are.
