Google spent over $20 million in lobbying last year. Over 10 times the amount that Intuit did. Virtually every large company, especially tech companies, lobby for their own benefit. Apple charges developers 15% or 30% of their take in every transaction of the Apple store. Starbucks is a union buster. In industrials, there's no industry that treats their employees worse than railroads.
