The Absolute Use of the Word Good

In the 20th century there was a kind of rebellion against giving an important role to the notion of good for someone. Some philosophers have challenged even the intelligibility of talking about what is good period. So my question is, do we really need to rely on them to give a full justification for the kind of relationships that we think are valuable?
