Nine Americans, some 80 Israelis and 157 other passengers hijacked by Palestinian guerrillas. Hijackers set a deadline for the release of 53 Palestinian prisoners held in several countries. Sayyere at Matt Kull unit launched an audacious rescue mission. Of 100 Jewish hostages, four died and only one soldier was killed. That soldier was Yoni Netanyahu, Benjamin's older brother.
