The Importance of Income Taxes in the US

The 16th Amendment doesn't give the government unlimited taxing power to tax whatever it wants directly without a poor shipment. The internal revenue code doesn't even define income, which is how the government usurps power. If you want to tax wealth, well, that's a direct tax. You have to amend the constitution. It's unconstitutional to call it income.
