How to Communicate With Your Partner in a Relationship
The trick in a relationship and any kind of relationship is that you, in that moment, we realize that something's happening. You can stop and say, oh, it's that thing. I'm feeling uncomfortable. What is it? Oh, it's the way I just felt unseen. And then you could turn to your partner and say, maybe it's not even in that moment. It could be the next day, but not 20 years later. My rules for communicating about things that are challenging are the same across the board, timing, turf, and tone.
