Jasen: I want to go back to something you were talking about earlier in our conversation, which was the idea of gratitude for those who came before us. The respect for classical texts started to fade away in europe in the sixteenth century. And went into a meltdown in the seventeenth when more and more of the ancient certainties were questioned and then found incorrect.
