The Perfect Actor to Adapt Frederick Douglass?

To me, the perfect actor to portray Frederick Douglass in our day would have probably been Chadwick Boseman. Have you heard any chatter about turning Douglas' story into a major film? Because it seems like that could be one of the great American films if done well. You hear stories every now and then I actually was consulted by some people who were working on a script a while back. But I think with the pandemic and things that probably fell through, I haven't heard anything.
