The Growth of Cryptocurrency in the US
About 18% of the US population has owned or traded crypto, and 13% of the population has done in the last 12 months. That's about half the penetration mutual funds would have in the US. And even more interesting, when you break it down by demographic, that 18% is very concentrated in younger and affluent population. If you take the 24 to 44 year old age group with income above $75,000 a year, over 30% of that group has participated in crypto. They're pretty fluent already with the different types of wallets.
