This is the second Stephen King film adaptation. If you would ask me if this came out before Halloween or after, I would have said it came out 15 years before Halloween. There's a trend, there's an escalation, there's sort of an evolution of the genre that feels like it is not interrupted by this movie,. but this movie exists out of line with it.
