The issue right now is people get paid upfront and that works out better than it should for most people. And those few where it works out worse when something becomes a big hit, some of them do negotiate and get paid but they probably don't make as much as in the Uber case. If you are a Jenna Ortega, they're going to do an overall deal with you that will pay you a ton of money. So even if you're not getting back in, you're making big money there.
