If you can at least demonstrate that you are measuring and understanding the solution, then you can start to show the trend going the right way. E like it, and to to just kind of pile on what you're saying. I remember once i was working on a project, and there was this kind of history behind it where it was a tool that had already existed within the company for a long time. And one of the problems was that at some point their data base performance started to go way, way down. It might have been they had too much data or old storage or whatever.
