The Satanic Panic in the U.K.

The idea of the satanic panic is a very uniquely american phenomenon. Here in the uk, we had more of a moral panic around the same time that was more to do with video nasties and the corrupting influence of movies featuring violence,. There's a to qite a good horror film that came out, possibly last year, sometime during lock down, called censor. I'm not going to describe it, but it's basicaly about this woman. Her job is to watch movies and to say what needs to be censored out, and to give it rating. It's pretty good. But it's basically all set on the back drop of the moral panic in the
