How Did You Develop a Graphic Design Program?
The vice president that asked us to interview and made the decision to offer us the position, her vision of the department was that it should be truly interdisciplinary. And so a lot of the actual cross-fertilization happened just through proximity. We mixed them up in the studio. So you had an industrial designer sitting next adjacent to a graphic designer. And looking at each other's books and watching others work.
