The Importance of the Arabic-Tulatian Translation Movement

Arabic was the language of the Quran and so it was also the language of power at that time. The Muslim love of learning originated in the Quranic conjunction to study and to learn as an obligation for Muslims. Scholars travelling to visit the court in Cordoba brought books, bringing texts with them that had been translated. Over the years I suppose all the important thinkers of Al-Andalus such as Averro has developed. Maybe he was viewed as being potentially dangerous or a bit too radical. That was the kind of situation up to the time when what was called the Christian Reconquest began to get gay momentum.
