The Importance of Playing It Safe

A lot of the scripts that are out there for people to learn from are shooting scripts. They're really nitpicky and snooty. So you really have to, in my opinion, write for them as much as you're writing for people who don't have that respect. I think playing it safe when you're somebody who doesn't have an agent or a name is very smart.
