Toddlers can be very all or nothing at this toddler stage. They want to be separate from us. And often that means saying the opposite of what we say, even if they actually know that's not true. What she can do and what I would recommend is to not argue, not agree with his side. When you know it's not true, just rise above and welcome him to share.
