Getting a Cop to Stop a Dude Yelling at Passing Cars

My brother is a paramedic in this city and some of the time his work requires him and his team to be accompanied by a police officer due to how violent the inner city is. He said he had a few really bad calls during his time but only one where he thought he might actually lose his own life. The guy was either so frenzied or mehth-duff that it was seriously touch and go for a while as to who was going to come out on top. In about 10 minutes there were five officers, my brother, his partner, the fire chief and a few more paramedics saw around 10 men in total.
