The Importance of Local Food Production

More of the food could ostensibly be raised butchered and consume more on a local level which reduces carbon footprint. It also offers the opportunity to be more in touch with the people locally that are producing food if you go somewhere like white white oak pastures or poly face farms it would negate a significant amount of travel necessary to process these animals. If we were to have a contamination event at a local facility this would affect at best hundreds maybe a few thousand pounds of food, he says.
