Introduction
In episode nine, we talked about elton mayo and his second work on the very famous hawthorne studies. All these works represent a key turning point in organization studies because of the emphasis which is placed on the social, psychological behaviors of individuals in organizations. In this case, the problem was how to increase workers productivity. Later studies by mayo looked instead at problems such as absenteism. And we can say that bernard was definitly inspired by mayo.
