What Should We Do With This Space?
When my team and I sit down at the beginning of a project, we start by deciding what we don't want to do. And that negativity is phenomenally positive. We were in the 19th floor of one of the towers at Columbus Circle meeting the founder and the client team for the Hudson Yards project. So many cities copy the formulas of other cities in the belief, well, that's successful here. Whereas my belief is the most successful things say bravo. Do something with a similar level of ambition here, but not the similar formula.
