Pick Me Up Some Time

As someone whose father left as a child, I find that I have an especially hard time with seeking male approval. Women even being afraid to ask men out and the power dynamic is just one function of the patriarchy. And it kind of feels like sometimes we're like part of the buffet and waiting to be picked. If you are going to turn against your own gender to appease men to be part of the patriarchy that we are all oppressed by, fuck you.
