Is There a Type of Bias in Our Reasoning?
i don't really like the view of the mind as just a biased kind of, you know, a bias machinewwhereby we kind of stumble around with. A collection of biases, well, a colection stics, which lead to biasit. So i think that's a overly pessimistic view of human reasoning. Ishou think that we actually have an amazing capacity for inventive thinking and causal reasoning,. But when we're faced with complex problems, inevitably we have to simplify things. And it's when we simplifi things that we can we're prone to errors.
