It's the narrative that causes the most dissatisfaction or the most suffering not so much the situation if I can come back and just take care of this situation. If you sit at the bottom of a lake and just close your eyes and become mindful you can start to see how the mind operates. The practice of meditation and mindfulness really hits home for any runner. We use it as an opportunity as a training ground for engaged practice, which is what happens on the meditation cushion.
