The Ghost of Chloe

Sarah Matilda married Clark Woodruff and had given birth to two daughters. While pregnant with her third child, Woodruff began an intimate relationship with one of the slaves who's named Chloe. She was a household servant, and she hated being forced to give in to Woodruff but realized if she didn't he would make her work in the fields. One day he caught her eavesdropping on their private conversations so ordered that one of her ears be cut off which is where she's supposed to start wearing the green turban around her head to hide the scar. It's unclear if this was only for revenge or just to make them sick so she could prove herself by nursing them back to health.
