Acute GVHD of the Lower GI Tract - A Novel IL-22 Drug

Acute GVHD is a major complication of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Systemic corticosteroids are standard initial therapy for acute GVHD, yet responses are seen in only about half of cases. F-652 is a recombinant human IL-22 dimer with a half-life of about 40 to 200 hours depending on dose. In preclinical studies, IL-22 promoted mucosal healing and improved intestinal barrier function.
