Aztec society in Mesoamerica was based on political centers. By 1519 which is when Kogathès turned up this city Tenochititlan had 200 000 occupants with over 200,000 in the surrounding region that makes it easily larger than any European city at the time. The most important aspects of Aztec society were militarism and religion.
