The media had a huge influence on how the council was going to be received, even sometimes more than the bishops themselves. Joseph ratsinger and henri de lubac weren't shock at how quickly the council was made ambiguous by some of these theologians in mediate outlets,. reporting their own narratives as opposed to what the counti actually taught. And tets, that fits right into what pope john the 20 third wanted with the council. So, yes, read the council. I mean, i can't encourage people to do this more because it actually, you think, like old meetings, how can they possibly produce a beautiful text from a meeting? Buttt constitutions are actually beautiful
