The Life of Christ and the Life of St. Benedict
Catherine's life is sort of like Lenten Easter in miniature she has this period where she fast and cultivates this desire and longing for God. She then takes that inner strength and go out into the world and then serve her neighbor. There's a kind of liturgical pattern you might say to the way that she lives her life. A lot of saints have a period where they go and live in a cave but Catherine wasn't one of them.
