In our 8th episode, we speak to Komal Agarwal, Co-founder at Pebble.
In 2013, fresh out of IIM Calcutta, Komal saw the opportunity that would come about because of the smartphone boom. She identified Power Banks as a product that would grow tremendously and launched Pebble with 5 SKUs. Fast forward to today, Pebble has 100+ SKUs and present Pan-India, and Middle-East/Africa. It's been an exciting journey, one filled with a lot of learning for anyone who wants to build a consumer brand in India.
We talk to Komal about how she scaled across different distribution channels, their focus on quality and how some key decisions in 2016-2017 helped the brand grow sustainably by keeping the long term vision in mind. She is extremely articulate and has candidly shared the blueprint of building a consumer brand in India. We had a lot of fun recording it, and I hope all of you have as much fun listening to it.
