The Importance of Resisting AI
I think humanity has a fun future of playing around with large language models. But the real question remains is, will there be all the other stuff that makes it bad? I can certainly see an artificial general intelligence if surrounded by institutions that are connected to human flourishing rather than particularly those that pit themselves against human flourishing. Just sort of our big sort of like anti-fascist AI are next to which is a granite block in which I have carved several things,. starting with number one, do not attempt to worship the AI. Number two, do you know that sex with the AI? Yeah, I'm surprised at how often we have needed to underline number two.
