The ip r means that anyone who uses the standard afterwards, intellectual property is not bound to be knohid by lawsuits from patents. It's a group of individuals with some pretty, pretty good reputation behind them in terms of security and technology and development. The idea that they signed on to these specks and said, look, this is going to become something that is not there in the ecosystem to harm you is really important.
